Hi,
I am a new user and require some assistance in installing ATK.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04

Have glib-networking-common, glib-networking-services & glib-networking installed.

When I run ./configure all seems good till the last few lines which indicates that it can't find glib -see following; full config.log below

checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.16... yes
checking for GLIB - version >= 2.31.2... no
*** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB is incorrectly installed.
configure: error:
*** GLIB 2.31.2 or better is required. The latest version of
*** GLIB is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/. If GLIB is installed
*** but not in the same location as pkg-config add the location of the file
*** glib-2.0.pc to the environment variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH.

7720:~/ATK/atk-2.4.0$ sudo apt-get install glib-networking
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
glib-networking is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 11 not upgraded.

How do I add the location of the file glib-2.0.pc to the environment variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH
How do I find where the glib-2.0.pc file is.

Many thanks to anyone who can help me. :D

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

It was created by atk configure 2.4.0, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.68. Invocation command line was

$ ./configure
